Experience
Dr. Bradley Todd Webb has 16 years of experience in developing, contributing to and leading large-scale research projects across a number of life sciences areas including molecular biology, genetics, biostatistics, and bioinformatics. His areas of focus have included large family based linkage studies, case-control association studies, pharmacogenetics, and biomarker discovery and validation which involve high-throughput genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic methods. Dr. Webb has extensive experience in study design; data management, analysis, and interpretation in the areas of neuropsychiatry, substance abuse, respiratory disease, and human variation. He has led and has been a member of teams involved in complex projects involving multidisciplinary expertise from academic and industry. Major funding sources for these projects have included the US National Institutes of Health and private foundations as well as biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners. Dr. Webb has co-authored more than 25 peer reviewed scientific publications and regularly presents at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr. Webb is a member of Center for Biomarker Research and Personalized Medicine in the Department of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He earned a PhD in human genetics at the Medical College of Virginia at VCU and completed post-doctoral training in statistical genetics at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics.
