Venebio named a Greater Richmond Company to Watch for 2010
RICHMOND, Virginia – October 29, 2009 ‑ Venebio was selected as one of eight “Greater Richmond’s Companies to Watch (GRCTW)” for 2010. The announcement was made during the Venture Forum’s fifth annual event on October 29, 2009. The Venture Forum is a Richmond-area networking group for investment professionals and entrepreneurs and the award is presented each year to companies that "have built solid foundations for success, job creation and [made] major contributions to the area's economic vitality." Winners are chosen by a panel of venture capitalists, investors, educators and business consultants. Nearly 50 companies were nominated. The award recognizes companies not only for their past performance, but for their ambition to disrupt an industry, introduce major innovation and take risks to succeed spectacularly.
